The MODUL-MEHRWEG-HAUS - a prototype for the building turnaround
The MODUL-MEHRWEG-HAUS in the Paderborn district is an innovative pilot project that can drive change in the construction sector. In cooperation with the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences, the company conwerk is developing a building that can be completely dismantled, separated and reused. The aim is to transform the "environmental problem of the house", as the company puts it, into a certified, recyclable product.
Innovation meets sustainability
The focus is on a modular steel construction system based on standardized, dismantlable components. These can be reassembled as required - whether for living space, office space or public facilities. The materials used are recyclable. This means that the building itself becomes a raw material store for future construction projects. Ecological building materials in the interior ensure a healthy indoor climate. With a living space of 105 m², a green flat roof and a photovoltaic system, the house complies with efficiency house class 40 with renewable energies and sustainability certification.
A model for the city of tomorrow
As part of the green transformation of the construction industry, the project is making a contribution to climate-neutral urban development. The modular reusable house should later be scalable to any type of building. This also makes it interesting for municipal construction projects that focus on flexibility, resource conservation and CO₂ reduction. With the "MODUL-MEHRWEG-HAUS", a new standard for sustainable construction can be created, which will provide an impetus for the transformation of the construction industry in NRW and beyond.
